DESCRIPTION:The Hidden Heroes of Lower Fairfield County: A conversation with sexual assault advocacy volunteers  \nOn Thursday\, December 8\, join us for a special Cocktails and Conversation panel dedicated to the work of sexual violence advocates and the ways they support victims and survivors. Volunteer advocates from The Rowan Center\, a sexual assault resource agency serving Lower Fairfield County\, will share their experiences of advocating for survivors and will share ways individuals and services in our community can be survivor-centered. The audience will be able to ask questions about their experiences\, as well as how to volunteer as a sexual assault advocate. \nArrive early to explore our current exhibition with complimentary access and to purchase a drink or cocktail of your choice. \nThe conversation will be moderated by Jorge Lopez-Martinez\, MPA (Advocacy Manager for The Rowan Center) \nPanelists: \n\nNicole Weiss: Text & Chat Crisis Line Advocate\, The Rowan Center\nVolunteers\, The Rowan Center\n\nThe event is free but advance registration is requested. \n \nThe Rowan Center  \nThe Rowan Center is located in Stamford and serves the town of Westport\, as well as other seven towns in the area.
