Don’t miss this engaging and diverse program of masterworks. \nRegister Here. \nProgram:\nJean-Marie Leclair: Sonata in A Major for Two Violins Op. 3\, No. 2\nEugène Ysaÿe: Sonata for Two Violins\n-Intermission-\nBela Bartok: Selections from 44 duos for Two Violins\nSergei Prokofiev: Sonata for Two Violins\nAlfred Schnittke: Moz-Art \nAbout the Performers:\nViolinist David Bernat leads a multifaceted career as a performer\, educator\, and artistic director. He has appeared as soloist with the Brookline Symphony\, Fort Dodge Symphony\, and Waterloo Cedar Falls Symphony. He has been a participant in the Bowdoin International Music Festival\, Tanglewood Music Festival\, and Marlboro Music Festival. \nHeavily committed to community engagement\, advocacy\, and education\, David holds the 2023-2025 Ensemble Connect Fellowship from Carnegie Hall. He is a graduate of the New England Conservatory and is currently a C.V Starr Doctoral Fellow at the Juilliard School. In 2024\, David was appointed violinist of the Formosa String Quartet who serve as the ensemble in residence at University of Houston’s Moores School of Music and the National Youth Orchestra of Canada. \nCameron Chase\, graduated from the Juilliard School with a Bachelor’s Degree in violin performance\, studying with Areta Zhulla and Joseph Lin. Cameron is a member of the Princeton symphony and plays with other ensembles in the greater New York area. He has played Vieuxtemps Violin Concerto No. 5 with the Norwalk Symphony Orchestra and he won the American Chamber Orchestra Concerto Competition where he played Bruch violin concerto and as one of the winners in the Bridgeport Symphony Competition he played Vivaldi’s Four Seasons with the Bridgeport Symphony in 2021. At his senior recital in May 2023\, he premiered works by four Juilliard composers and is a strong advocate for new music. He has attended music festivals such as the Music Academy of the West\, Music Mountain Masterclasses in CT\, and The Bowdoin International Music Festival in Maine as well as Moritzburg Academy in Germany. Cameron has been teaching violin for many years with students from different backgrounds in both CT and NY and he hopes to help violin players grow their love of both music and string playing.
