MoCACT Annual Fund

Supports MoCA\CT’s greatest needs by providing unrestricted funds, giving the Museum flexibility to strategically deploy resources to maximize operational efficiency and empower innovation and agility. By keeping MoCA\CT stable and resilient, you make it possible to fulfill our mission to inspire creativity, foster meaningful connections, and serve our community through exceptional exhibitions, performing arts, educational initiatives, and cultural programming.

Exhibitions

Supports MoCA\CT’s dynamic exhibition program, presenting nationally and internationally recognized artists alongside emerging voices, including many from Connecticut. Your gift funds researching, curating, installing, and designing exhibitions and writing interpretive materials. Experiencing contemporary art at MoCA\CT sparks imagination and creativity, cultivates critical thinking, encourages empathy, and builds community and connection.

Performing Arts

Supports MoCA\CT’s acclaimed Performing Arts Series, featuring world-class music by celebrated jazz artists, Jazz at Lincoln Center emerging artists, the Heida Hermanns International Piano Competition, and contemporary performances that inspire audiences of all ages. Our annual supporters like you bridge the gap between ticket sales and actual costs. Ensure MoCA\CT remains a unique space for extraordinary performances in an intimate, art-filled gallery space.

Programming

Camp MoCA

Provides immersive summer arts experiences where young artists explore creativity, build confidence, and develop lifelong friendships through hands-on learning in our classrooms and studios, galleries, gardens, playground, theater, and beautiful outdoor spaces.

Planned Giving

Organizations endure thanks to the vision and planning of many. Making a planned gift to MoCA\CT ensures that your support and commitment live on for years to come. Not only can this type of gift be economically advantageous for your family, but it also preserves your legacy as a supporter of the arts in Westport. Below are several types of planned gifts to consider.

Private Foundation or Donor-Advised Fund

A donor-advised fund-essentially a charitable savings account-gives you the flexibility to recommend how much and how often money is granted to MoCA\CT. You can recommend a grant or recurring grants now to make an immediate impact, or use your fund as a tool for future charitable giving.

Bequests

Bequests may be made in the form of cash, securities, art, or other property.

Charitable Remainder Unitrust

A charitable remainder unitrust is an irrevocable trust that pays a fixed percentage of the value of its holdings each year to a beneficiary. Assets in such trust can later be distributed to the charities named in the trust.

Charitable Lead Unitrust

A charitable lead unitrust is an irrevocable trust in which assets are transferred to a trust that pays a fixed percentage of its holdings to the charity named in the trust.

Gifts of life insurance or retirement plan assets may be designed to benefit a charity such as MoCA\CT.
