Planned Giving
Organizations endure thanks to the vision and planning of many. Making a planned gift to MoCA\CT ensures that your support and commitment live on for years to come. Not only can this type of gift be economically advantageous for your family, but it also preserves your legacy as a supporter of the arts in Westport. Below are several types of planned gifts to consider.
Private Foundation or Donor-Advised Fund
A donor-advised fund-essentially a charitable savings account-gives you the flexibility to recommend how much and how often money is granted to MoCA\CT. You can recommend a grant or recurring grants now to make an immediate impact, or use your fund as a tool for future charitable giving.
Bequests
Bequests may be made in the form of cash, securities, art, or other property.
Charitable Remainder Unitrust
A charitable remainder unitrust is an irrevocable trust that pays a fixed percentage of the value of its holdings each year to a beneficiary. Assets in such trust can later be distributed to the charities named in the trust.
Charitable Lead Unitrust
A charitable lead unitrust is an irrevocable trust in which assets are transferred to a trust that pays a fixed percentage of its holdings to the charity named in the trust.
Gifts of life insurance or retirement plan assets may be designed to benefit a charity such as MoCA\CT.
