“Paul Camacho in Westport” – A talk with WestPAC’s Kathleen Motes Bennewitz and Ive Covaci, and Independent Curator Benjamin Ortiz
Kathleen Motes Bennewitz, Westport’s Town Curator, joins Benjamin Ortiz, independent curator and collector as they discuss how Westport’s art collection came to acquire numerous Camachos, the larger community in which Camacho lived, and his engagement with regional museums. In addition, WestPAC’s Chair Ive Covaci will discuss the abstract works in the exhibition’s Learning Gallery in relation to Camacho.

Learn About the World of Art Conservation
For over twenty years, Sarah Dove of the Sarah Dove Art Conservation, LLC (Stonington, CT) has been the principal of an independent paper studio servicing museums, cultural institutions and private collectors throughout New England. She is responsible for the care and treatment of rare and unique materials, specializing in works of art on paper. Dove contributed her conservation work to this exhibition.
