Unleash your creativity and craft your own personal zine in this hands-on workshop, inspired by Banks Violette: American Standard. Reflecting aspects of Violette’s art practice, this session embraces the raw, DIY aesthetic and the power of personal storytelling. You’ll explore how to capture where you are in your journey by collecting thoughts, favorite images, and inspirations into an 8-page mini-booklet. Using a mix of analog and digital techniques, you’ll learn to lay out pages, combine digital typesetting with hand-drawn elements, and integrate photographs and collage for a unique, expressive design. Whether you write, draw, or reflect in your own way, this workshop provides the tools to bring your vision to life in print. Participants are encouraged to explore the exhibition beforehand for inspiration.
